Welcome to 14th World Buffalo Congress

Dear colleagues and IBF members,

On behalf of the Organizing and Scientific Committees, it is a pleasure to welcome you to the 14th World Buffalo Congress that will be held in Sorrento (Naples), from 28th to 30th October 2026. 
Twenty-five years later, the last conference in Italy, the beautiful frame of Sorrento, will host again the IBF congress in the prestigious venue of the Hilton Sorrento Palace hotel.

For the congress organization, we are joining efforts from the Federico II University (UNINA), the Italian National Association of Buffalo Breeders (ANASB), the RIS Bufala Association, the Consortium of Safeguarding of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana Cheese, the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Southern Italy, the Ministry of Agriculture and Health, besides established companies in both the meat and dairy industry, with more than 200 associate members.
Buffalo farming is now an almost worldwide phenomenon, for this reason the World Buffalo Congress is a unique opportunity which enables international researchers, veterinarians, breeders, producers and technicians to exchange ideas and information, make connections and collaborations and update innovations within all the aspects of interactions among the world of buffalo dairy chain, from farm to fork.
Our aim was to organize this IBF Congress from a new perspective, by integrating technical skills and scientific information from technicians and researchers all over the world. We hope that in this way the conference will give new interesting cues of interest to increase the knowledge in this field.
Great speakers from several countries will be invited to share their experiences and provide new points of view. In advance, we would like to thank all participants who will submit high-quality abstracts and contribute to a successful outcome for the Congress.
Finally, the Conference will represent a great opportunity to visit enchanting places in the Campania region, such as Naples, Pompei, the Amalfi and Sorrento coast in the shadow of the majestic Vesuvius, and enjoy the Campania cuisine.
